In a recent statement on Twitter, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi of Iran expressed grave concern for the life of Ms. Zohreh Sarv, who is currently imprisoned in Iran. He held the Islamic Republic and specifically Ali Khamenei responsible for her safety and any harm that might come to her. The Crown Prince called for the unconditional release of Sarv and all other political and ideological prisoners.
Pahlavi appealed to the United Nations Human Rights Council, its fact-finding committee, and various human rights organizations to intensify pressure on the Iranian regime for the release of political prisoners. In a direct message to Ms. Sarv, he acknowledged her resilience and patriotism even while being detained by the Islamic Republic. He urged her to end her hunger strike, emphasizing that the struggle for Iran’s freedom continues and requires her healthy presence.
