Allegations of Torture and Forced Confession Against Reza Rasaei in Iran

In a concerning report from Iran, Reza Rasaei has allegedly been subjected to severe physical abuse and forced medication in an attempt to coerce a confession. According to sources, Rasaei’s fingers were broken, and his ribs were crushed during interrogation sessions. He was reportedly drugged to influence him into confessing to the killing of Nader Birami, the head of intelligence of the 3rd IRGC unit in Sahneh County.

Despite the alleged torture, Rasaei refused to confess, drawing comparisons to Yalda Aghafazli, another individual who reportedly did not express remorse under similar circumstances. This case has sparked calls for public support and awareness, with advocates using the hashtag #Reza_Rasaei, to prevent another tragedy similar to Yalda’s case.

The allegations against the Iranian authorities in the treatment of Reza Rasaei highlight serious concerns regarding human rights abuses, particularly in the handling of detainees and political prisoners. This case is attracting attention both within Iran and internationally.
