UN Atomic Energy Agency chief to go to Iran subsequent week


Amid rising tensions between the Islamic Republic and Israel and issues of assaults on nuclear amenities, the IAEA introduced on Tuesday that the pinnacle of the UN nuclear company, Rafael Grossi, will go to Iran subsequent week.

“We can verify that Director-General Grossi shall be visiting Iran on May 6-7 for talks with senior Iranian officers,” a spokesperson for the International Atomic Energy Agency informed AFP.

Grossi final visited Iran in March 2023.

In January, Grossi expressed dissatisfaction with Iran’s nuclear actions in an interview with AFP information company, saying that Iran was “limiting cooperation in an unprecedented method.”
