The Iranian Supreme Court has overturned the loss of life sentence of Mahmud Mehrabi, a detainee from the 2022 National Movement protests. The case has been despatched again for retrial to a parallel department of the Revolutionary Court in Isfahan.
Mehrabi was arrested in February 2023 in Isfahan and launched on bail from Dastgerd Prison on March 15, however was re-arrested simply hours after his launch. He stays in detention.
Mehrabi’s household has confronted important strain for his or her public advocacy. In June, his sister Maryam, alongside along with her two younger daughters, was arrested by safety forces in retaliation for his or her efforts to boost consciousness about his scenario.
