The Ecuadorian Navy stated 5 fishermen who remained undiscovered between mid-March and mid-March have been rescued within the sea final week and survived a 55-day drift within the Pacific Ocean by ingesting rain and seawater.
Three Peruvians and two Colombian fishermen have been found on May 7 by an Ecuadorian tuna boat known as Aldo. The Navy stated it reported that the fishermen had prompted harm to the boat alternator two days after they departed from Pucusana Bay, south of Peru’s capital, Lima.
Colonel Maria Fars of the Ecuadorian naval frigate advised The Associated Press that gear breakdowns might trigger communication and navigation instruments to malfunction.
