The head of Iran’s central bank visits Muscat

Iran Press/ West Asia: Iran’s Central Bank governor, leading a delegation, has traveled to Oman to discuss the development and improvement of monetary, financial, and banking interactions.

During this trip, Mohammad Reza Farzin aims to enhance commercial and economic relations and exchanges between the Central Banks of Iran and Oman.

Accompanying the Governor of the Central Bank on this trip to Oman is Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Mehdi Safari.

Prior to this, the head of the central bank had visited Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to strengthen monetary and banking cooperation.

Despite tensions in the Persian Gulf and US efforts to intensify sanctions, the relations between Iran and Oman in the last few decades have always been based on mutual respect and interests.

Omani officials believe that their close relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran as a great neighbor.

The two countries have no territorial or border disputes with each other, and Iran’s support for Oman has left a positive and lasting impression on Oman’s historical memory. 219
