Despite a decrease in attacks on US bases, Iran’s proxies continue to cause regional instability

According to U.S. Defense Department Press Secretary Patrick Ryder, there has been a lull in attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria by Iranian proxies. VOA Pentagon correspondent Carla Babb has information from sources on the reasons for this lull. Israeli foreign ministry public diplomacy official Emmanuel Nahshon has commented on Iran’s apparent coercion of its minority Jews into staging anti-Israel protests last month. Palestinian Authority Social Development Minister Ahmed Majdalani has spoken about Iran using its Palestinian proxies to seek the destruction of Israel. Additionally, water issues researcher Nik Ahang Kowsar has reported on Iran’s parliament urging the government to take more action to prevent floods in the country.
