Iran on Friday lambasted strikes by the United States and the United Kingdom on insurgent targets in Yemen, saying they have been an “arbitrary motion” and a “violation” of worldwide regulation.
In a press release, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani “strongly condemned the navy assaults of the United States and the United Kingdom this morning on a number of Yemeni cities,” after repeated assaults on Red Sea transport by Iran-backed Huthi rebels.
