Grandmasters from Iran and India share the spoils in a chess tournament in London

Tabatabaei, with a rating of 2692, drew with his Indian opponent Gukesh Dommaraju with a rating of 2720 in the eighth round of the competition.

In previous rounds, Tabatabaei drew with his American opponent Hans Niemann, who has a rating of 2667, and defeated his opponent from England, Nikita Vitiugov, who has a rating of 2704.

Tabatabaei’s next opponent in the final will be Jules Moussard from France.

The 13th edition of the London Chess Classic is being held from December 1-10 as a 10-player single round-robin with a classical time control.
