Supporting the Bereaved Parents of Iran is Our National Responsibility, Says Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi

In a recent statement, Prince Reza Pahlavi has emphasized the national duty of supporting the bereaved parents in Iran, particularly in the face of increasing pressures from the security forces of the regime against families of victims. The statement comes amid growing concerns over the regime’s treatment of such families.

Pahlavi highlighted the case of Mahsa Yazdani, a courageous mother whose 20-year-old son was tragically killed. He noted that the Khamenei regime intends to imprison Yazdani, who has bravely stood up for justice in the face of her son’s untimely and unjust death. The regime has reportedly sentenced her to several years in prison for her steadfast demand for justice.

“Zahhak of our time has condemned this brave and resilient mother to years of imprisonment simply for seeking justice for her young son, whose life was wrongfully taken,” Pahlavi wrote. He referred to the mythical tyrant Zahhak in Persian literature, drawing a parallel between the legendary figure and the current regime’s oppression.

Pahlavi stressed that it is a national responsibility to support the mothers and fathers in Iran who are safeguarding the memory of their children and preventing the desecration of the innocent blood shed. He called upon everyone, regardless of their location or capacity, to ensure that the voices of those demanding justice are not silenced. “This action is essential and effective in advancing the national revolution,” he stated.

The plight of these families has garnered international attention, with many activists and human rights organizations calling for greater support and recognition of their struggles.
