Howzak Boutique Hostel, Isfahan

Howzak Boutique Hostel in Isfahan is a small adobe house built more than 90 years ago in the historic neighborhood of Esfahan, a short distance away from the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Site, Masjed-e Jamethe city’s magnificent Friday mosque.
The young couple who restored the house to be used as a hostel: Babak (a musician and engineer) and Nassim (a trained architect and conservationist), welcome all their guests like family.

Howzak Hostel in Isfahan Rooms
Howzak consists of five rooms: one double, one twin, one single, and two triples – which are flexible to be booked per bed.
They are all laid around the green courtyard (where a complimentary fresh breakfast is served) and the small pond (Howz).
There is also a kitchen (where guests can also order homemade veggie Persian & Isfahani dishes) and two shared bathrooms. The house is designed to accommodate a maximum of 11 guests, which means the tranquility and coziness is one of the most respected qualities of this hostel.
Apart from exploring the magnificent architecture of Esfahan, guests can also join specially-designed Howzak activities that encourage them to meet and mingle with local artisans and residents.

These include:
- a handicraft tour which is a walking tour of the city’s handicraft workshops with a chance to create one’s own souvenirs
- a music tour with an introduction to Persian music, with Babak himself, who takes guests to a musical instrument manufacturing workshop
- a cycling tour around Esfahan at night to see all its sights and royal gardens turned into public parks
- a cooking class where guests are welcome to choose their food from the menu and participate in the preparation and serving.
