According to a senior official at IFDA, Iran has achieved self-sufficiency in producing medicines, medical equipment, food products, cosmetics, and formula. The official also stated that Tehran is prepared to collaborate on the production of vaccines, medicines, and other health products, as well as technology transfer in the healthcare industry to Libya.
During the meeting, Mohammad Hossein Niknam, Deputy Minister of Health in International Affairs, highlighted the global importance of healthcare and expressed Tehran’s readiness to develop cooperation in the healthcare field with Libya.
Niknam also mentioned opportunities for Iran and Libya to expand cooperation in joint medicine production, medical equipment, medical research, and medical education.
