Indonesia deplored the Israeli forces’ decision to occupy the Indonesia Hospital in the war-torn Gaza Strip and turn the medical facility into a temporary military base.
News about the hospital’s occupation broke on Dec. 19, according to Sarbini Abdul Murad, the chairman of the non-profit Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) that operates the facility in Gaza.
“We heard (…) from our partners in North Gaza that (the Indonesia Hospital) had been used as an outpost by (the Israeli military) in the past two weeks,” Sarbini told The Jakarta Post on Sunday.
