The Judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in an official statement, announced the execution of four individuals on Friday, December 28th in Urmia prison, located in West Azerbaijan Province. The charges were “combating and corruption on Earth through cooperation with Israel intelligence services.”
According to a report by the Mizan News Agency, affiliated with the Judiciary, the executed individuals were identified as “Wafa Hanareh, Aram Omri, Rahman Parhazoo, and Ms. Nasim Namazi.” The report emphasized that these individuals were part of a ten-person group accused of “connections with Mossad with the intention of disrupting national security.”
These executions took place amidst ongoing intelligence and security tensions between Iran and Israel. These executions may be seen as a sign of escalating judicial actions against individuals accused of espionage in Iran.
