Seoul’s navy reported that North Korea’s navy fired greater than 60 artillery rounds close to Yeonpyeong Island on Saturday, a day after each side carried out live-fire drills in the identical space, close to their disputed maritime border.
“North Korean forces carried out artillery fireplace with over 60 rounds from the northwest space of Yeonpyeong Island at this time between roughly 16:00 and 17:00 (0700 to 0800 GMT),” Seoul’s Joint Chiefs of Staff stated in an announcement, warning Pyongyang to cease such acts.
