Chinese Military Pledges to Suppress Taiwan’s ‘Independence’ Drive

On Friday (Jan 12), the Chinese navy launched a press release declaring its intention to “crush” any makes an attempt to endorse Taiwan’s independence.

China’s assertion was made a day earlier than the scheduled polls on the self-ruled island, which Beijing claims as a part of its territory.

“The Chinese People’s Liberation Army maintains excessive vigilance always and can take all crucial measures to firmly crush ‘Taiwan independence’ makes an attempt of all types,” Defense Ministry spokesperson Zhang Xiaogang stated in a press release.
