The mudslide, which occurred Friday afternoon, coated a roadway that connects the cities of Quibdo and Medellin within the Pacific province of Choco.
“The extraction of our bodies continues,” the governor of Choco mentioned in a press release shared on social media.
Images on social media confirmed the second a big piece of land was dislodged from a mountain and fell on prime of a number of vehicles that had been shifting alongside the flooded street under.
The street has been closed by Colombia’s National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD).
