Multiple explosions have been reported close to the US consulate in Erbil, Iraq, an Iraqi safety official informed ABC News.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards shortly claimed duty for the assault, saying it had focused “headquarters of spies” and “gatherings of anti-Iranian terrorists in elements of the area” with ballistic missiles.
According to the Kurdistan Regional Security Council, 4 individuals have been killed and 6 injured within the assault.
Iraqi safety sources informed ABC News there have been no casualties amongst coalition or American troops within the Erbil bombing.
“No U.S. amenities are affected. We usually are not monitoring any infrastructure injury or accidents right now,” a U.S. official informed ABC News.
Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, condemned the Iranian Revolutionary Guards assault on Erbil, Iraq, in a submit on X.
