IAEA Director General Raphael Grossi mentioned on Thursday that “Iran hardly cooperates with the International Atomic Energy Agency” and that the company felt it was being held “hostage” in Iran’s disputes with Western nations.
At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Grossi mentioned that “the state of affairs could be very irritating, they restrict cooperation in a really unprecedented approach.”
The IAEA has been struggling since 2021 to supervise Iran’s nuclear program, which continues to increase, regardless of Tehran’s denial that it seeks to provide nuclear weapons.
