Journalist Ebrahim Rashidi’s non permanent detention order prolonged for an extra month

The International Federation of Journalists introduced on Thursday, January 28, that the non permanent arrest order of Ebrahim Rashidi, a journalist in Meshkinshahr, Ardabil province, has been prolonged for one more month.

Mr. Rashidi was arrested by the safety forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in early January of this yr.

The International Federation of Journalists, quoting native sources, wrote: Ibrahim Rashidi has been accused of “propaganda towards the regime” and “spreading lies” within the first department of Meshkinshahr Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office.

Normally, the Islamic Republic’s safety and judicial establishments accuse critics and opponents of those or related costs.

Previously, this journalist was summoned by the second department of the Meshkin Shahr Prosecutor’s Office on 18 Bahman 1400 for publishing essential materials and was briefly launched on bail of fifty million tomans.

Ebrahim Rashidi is a journalist and civil activist and a member of the editorial board of the month-to-month “Bayram” and the banned weekly “Navid Azarbaijan”.
