Iran’s Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi Backs Labor Strikes as Catalyst for Change

Iran’s exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi has thrown his help behind a rising wave of labor unrest throughout Iran, calling on hanging staff to proceed their resistance as a part of a broader motion for political change. In a video message, Pahlavi urged unity amongst Iranians, emphasizing that the strikes mirror the folks’s rejection of the present regime’s financial mismanagement and repression.

The labor strikes, which started amongst oil and petrochemical staff, have now unfold to academics, truck drivers, and retirees. Protesters are demanding higher wages, pensions, and fundamental rights amid skyrocketing inflation and a collapsing financial system.

Pahlavi framed the strikes as a non-violent device to weaken the Islamic Republic’s grip on energy. “This is not only a labor motion,” he stated. “It’s a nationwide awakening.”

While the Iranian authorities has tried to suppress the protests, studies of arrests and web disruptions have solely fueled public anger. Pahlavi’s remarks mark a uncommon second of seen coordination between exiled opposition leaders and home unrest.
