Texas passes payments requiring all sheriffs to work with immigration officers


Texas lawmakers have handed a bipartisan invoice that requires all county sheriffs who run prisons to work with U.S. immigration and customs enforcement (ICE). Both Chambers accepted the model of the convention committee’s SB8 and handed the invoice to Gov. Greg Abbott for his signature.

Texas consultant David Spiller (R-Jacsboro) informed Breitbart Texas the Compromise Bill (SB8) requires all Texas sheriffs working or contracting county jails to signal contracts with ICE beneath a program generally often called 287(g). The program gives coaching and entry to immigration databases, permitting lawmakers to implement restricted immigration legislation enforcement companies.
